Volunteering

Part of my doings is the participation as volunteer.

As an examiner since December 2023 at the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Schwaben), I take care of the intermediate and final exams for trainees in Computer Science Expert Application Development and Computer Science Expert Data & Process Analysis.

My Professional Experience in the Industry

Current

As a freelance lecturer, I train new IT specialists and developers to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. I always teach the basics of the profession with a focus on practical application.

In the backend, I develop with C# and the current, cross-platform .NET version. With my extensive expertise in the development of REST API microservices or gRPC endpoints, I help my customers to develop future-proof solutions. By using message bus systems (e.g. Azure Service Bus) via the NServiceBus framework, I model processes in such a way that they can be repeated in the event of an error. The integration of Azure SaaS services ensures better scalability and simpler development. To store information, I use the NoSQL database Azure Cosmos DB or relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL. In the cloud environment, the containerization of services has become indispensable. Therefore I use Docker.

Past

Focus on API backend development in C# .NET Core including connections to SAP OData services. Developing REST based microservices using Azure cloud technologies and Docker. As a training officer, I supervise the trainees in our department.
Working in a SCRUM team to implement new features on the LEW website and the customer portal. Using Sonarqube to continuously improve the code base.

Frontend development of a web-based project management solution for construction and maintenance work on the power grid. Primary use of SAPUI5 and Fiori with JavaScript. I worked in a SCRUM team. Setup and continuous maintenance of the version control system and the CI/CD pipelines.

Administration of the Windows server systems for the building security and media technology department. Development of an ASP.NET application in C# for the administration of visitor badges.

Education

Training in the field of IT to learn all the basics in this area. This includes:

Fundamentals of network technology
Fundamentals of software development (with Java and C#)
Fundamentals of system administration
Fundamentals of business administration

Graduated as the best trainee in this area with 94 out of 100 points.
